Mummys Boy - Part 5

Daniel ducked down into London's underground station and made his way to Holborn, he was nervous and excited to be in London as he'd seldom visited the capital city on his own. The Museum was just as impressive he'd remembered it and he was in awe of it's collections and professors.

He immersed himself in the conference as he should but in quieter moments found himself thinking back to his train journey and the beautiful older woman who'd taken such delight in teasing him and showing him such astounding images.

He brought his mind abruptly back to the here and now and tried to concentrate on the lectures. He ensured he took the notes he'd need to write up his findings for the University faculty back at home. He also found himself getting extra copies of anything pertaining to Egyptian queens, he lied to himself about why he was doing it but there was little doubt in his mind.

As he sat on train back to Bath he smiled to himself. The conference was a brilliant success and he knew it would help his studies immensely. He had a file full of valuable notes, he had made contact with several experts in the field, he'd even impressed some of them with his thesis and agreed to keep in touch with them. He had even, potentially, lined up a contribution to an eminent journal AND a possible TV documentary.

The next day he sifted through his notes and made a small pile of pamphlets and books. They all covered female monarchs and authority figures in the ancient world. He fished out Victoria's card and dialled.......
